Rev. Linda J. Ivey, MSW, is the founder of Your Destiny Is Here, Inc.

We interviewed Rev. Ivey and asked her questions about Your Destiny is Here, Inc. including, where the name came from, what she hopes to accomplish through the ministry, the difference between Your Destiny Is Here, Inc. and Linda J. Ivey Ministries, and an explanation on Destiny and Greater. Here’s what she had to say:

The name, Your Destiny Is Here, Incorporated came from prayer, meditation and one word from God ... Destiny. I always had a sense that God wanted me to go beyond traditional ministry. Eventually, the Lord revealed my greater destiny would be to provide ministry outside of the church. Greater meant going beyond my current comfort zone: to think more, larger, bigger and to double my efforts. 

Your Destiny is Here, Inc. (YDH) represents a grouping of Christ-centered programs developed to help people identify and fulfill their destiny. Even though I did not have a mentor or coach to encourage and guide me in my new direction, God had a plan. He showed me my destiny. The Lord was the only instructor I needed as I was led to develop a God-centered, non-traditional ministry that was waiting for me. 

Linda J. Ivey Ministries is just one of the programs under the YDH umbrella that also includes books, plays, entertainment TV, and radio broadcasts. God’s greater will take me beyond my current local circle using as many platforms and programs as possible, growing my ministry nationally and internationally, touching others worldwide. 

Every one of us has a destiny. My ministry is to help people find and fulfill theirs. I want to convey to people that even if your present situation doesn’t feel Godly or seem to match your current understanding, all is not lost. You still have time for God’s destiny for you, to change your life.

My advice to others who are pursuing their destiny is to remember to listen to God and move out on faith, even if it makes you feel a little uncomfortable. Remember God will never leave nor forsake you. Listen to your inner voice. Do more for Christ, say yes more and be open with your heart and mind. Be responsible to the Holy Spirit and most importantly, follow where the Spirit leads you.
